with the influence of the Alternatives to Violence Project-AVP and
Abafasoni Workshops (African Women’s Leadership) for recovery from Violence and Trauma.
III. School Administrator and Psychologist
( ) Experience includes working with people of many cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. Primarily, I have taught poor people to achieve literacy and computer literacy. I have been a secondary and tertiary level educator, psychologist, and reading teacher, helping people complete high school, gain college entrance, obtain work certifications, and earn college degrees. As well, I have counselled and consulted with individuals and groups, to help them achieve their career and life goals. Currently, I work for the United States Job Corps, High School Diploma Program, as High Schol Online Administrator and Instructor at South Bronx Job Corps Academy, NYC. Also, I continue service to underserved communities as a Member of the Conflict Resolution Committee of the American Friends Service Committee, AFSC-NYMRO, New York Metropolitan Region Office, and member of the Peace Committe of Fifteenth Street Meeting of the Religous Society of Friends, Quakers.
Community Service:
Assisting in the betterment of Not-for-Profit and NGO organizations (helping any group organized for the greater good;) providing direction for envisioning, developing, guiding and improving “Ubuntu” Organizations, via Ubuntu Organizational Psychology strategies, is for me, today’s challenge and love.
